Shahid Kapoor will reportedly go bald to play the protagonist Haider (Hamlet) in Vishal Bhardwaj’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic ‘Hamlet’ titled ‘Haider’. The young lad is leaving no stone unturned to get into the character of the protagonist.
Shahid will reportedly watch Laurence Oliver in 1948 film Hamlet. The British film was produced and directed by Oliver himself. It seems that Shahid is now up to shed his romantic boy image and to consider some seriously challenging roles.
Vishal Bhardwaj who is renown to make dark-themed movies, had already made two films on Shakespeare’s tales. The first was Maqbool (based on Macbeth) and the next was Omkara (based on Othello) with Irfan Khan and Ajay Devgn in respective title lead roles.
While Vishal was not available to confirm, other sources close to Kapoor boy are not sure if Shahid will really get bald for the role.
The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark is one of the most famous tragedy play of Shakespeare.
